Do you need a reverse diet?

If you’re in a constant state of dieting or cutting all the time with no results I have one question, how is that working for you?

There are a host of issues with constantly living in a calorie deficit, and unfortunately we have all been trained to think eat less, do more, loose weight. The only problem being this leads to a burnt out metabolism. This is no bueno for loosing body fat. You need to start looking at your metabolism as a bank account, the more you put in, the more you get out.
You want your metabolism to be a large burning fire and the only way to make that happen is to eat more food! Cutting calories has it’s place, but any good responsible cut should be short and sweet. Once you’re done you then want to slowly add calories back to get to your true maintenance calories. This is called a reverse diet. A reverse can often yield muscle gain, better sleep, more energy, improved mood, and increased performance in the gym. Basically just living your best damn life!

What many don’t realize is you have to “earn” the right to loose fat. Take care of your body now and when it’s time to cut it will reward you.
