And while I certainly don’t recommend you jump right into a heavy af deadlift, we gotta start somewhere.
The good news is every little step is a step towards your ultimate goal of having less body fat and more muscle (THAT is what creates a toned look!🎉)
I know that cardio gives you that feel good rush, it sure feels good in the moment, and I am not saying NEVER DO CARDIO. It has great benefits for your heart health, but it won't change the shape of your body like strength training will.
Proper basic strength training should be your primary focus if your goals are fat loss. Especially if you want to keep the weight off for good! Never mind what strength work will do for your health ladies, it is a longevity key 100%!
You’ll forever be disappointed AND frustrated when you keep taking 5 spin classes a week with the goal of fat loss, only to realize that those 5 spin classes a week are making you HUNGRIER, moodier, and no closer to your goal.
